Build your meal from 25 UK restaurant menus (1343 items) and see the total price and calories instantly

Pick a restaurant, tap + on the dishes you want, and the calculator adds up your bill and calories as you go. It also shows how much of the NHS daily calorie guide your meal uses, and finds dishes that fit your budget and calorie limit. Every price and calorie figure comes from the restaurant’s official menu.

How to use the meal calculator

      1. Choose a restaurant from the row of names at the top.
      2. Add dishes with the + button. Use the search box or the section buttons to find items fast.
      3. Check your totals in the “Your meal” panel: price, calories, and the share of your daily calorie guide.
      4. Set a budget in the Budget & calorie finder to see dishes that fit, sorted by most filling, lightest or cheapest.
      5. Share your meal with “Copy link to this meal”. The link opens the same restaurant and dishes.

      Where the numbers come from

Prices and calories come from each restaurant’s own website, app or official menu. Most UK chains set prices branch by branch, so the calculator shows which branch we checked and the date. Prices in London, at airports and on delivery apps are often higher. If a restaurant does not publish calories for an item, the calculator shows a dash and warns you that your total is missing that item. Read our editorial policy.

      Frequently asked questions

How many calories should I eat in a day?

The NHS guide is around 2,000 kcal a day for women and 2,500 kcal a day for men. Your own needs depend on your age, size and how active you are. Switch between the two guides in the “Your meal” panel.

What does “calories per £1” mean?

It is the calories in a dish divided by its price. A higher number means more food energy for each pound you spend, which helps if you want the most filling meal for your budget.

Why is there no calorie figure for some items?

Not every restaurant publishes calories for every item online. We never estimate calories, so these items show a dash and the calculator tells you the real total will be higher.

Are the prices the same at every branch?

No. Most chains price each branch differently. The calculator shows the branch we checked. Use it as a guide and check your local restaurant before you order.
