Write for Us

Want to write for UK Menu Hub? We welcome guest posts from people who know UK food well.

That could be a chef, a dietitian, a food blogger or someone who has worked in a restaurant. If you have real tips that help people eat out for less, we would love to hear from you.

What we publish

Our readers want to know what a meal costs and what to order. Good topics include:

  • Eating out on a budget in the UK
  • Healthy or lower-calorie choices at chain restaurants
  • Halal, vegan and allergy-friendly eating out
  • Regional UK food, from chippies to curry houses
  • How restaurant menus and prices work behind the scenes
  • Kids menus and family meals out

Our guest post rules

  • Original only. Your post must be new and written by you. No AI-written or copied text.
  • Useful and specific. At least 1,000 words, with real tips or facts readers can use.
  • Sources for numbers. Any price or calorie figure must link to where it came from.
  • Easy to read. Short sentences and short paragraphs. Write like you talk.
  • One link to you. You can add one link to your own site or profile, if it helps the reader.
  • No paid links. We do not sell links. Sponsored posts are labelled and their links are marked as sponsored.

Topics we do not accept

We do not publish posts about gambling, CBD, loans, crypto or adult topics. We also turn down posts that are mainly adverts.

How to pitch a guest post

Email info@ukmenuhub.uk with the subject “Guest post pitch”. Please include:

  1. Your topic idea in one line
  2. A short outline (5 to 8 bullet points)
  3. Two or three links to your past writing
  4. A line or two about you

Please do not send a full article first. We would rather agree the idea with you before you write it.

What happens next

  1. We read your pitch and reply if it is a good fit.
  2. You write the post and send it as a Google Doc or Word file.
  3. We edit it for facts, length and style, and check every source.
  4. We publish it with your name and a short bio.
