Looking for vegan food at a UK restaurant chain? We counted the dishes labelled vegan or plant-based on the official menus of 24 chains, and found the cheapest one at each. Labels vary, so we only counted items with vegan, plant-based or Beyond in their name.

On the menus we checked, Nando’s, Wagamama, Toby Carvery, Five Guys, Dishoom, Mowgli Street Food, Bundobust, MyLahore, Harry Ramsden’s, Poppies Fish & Chips, Rockfish, Heavenly Desserts, Franco Manca, GAIL’s Bakery, Pret A Manger, Wahaca had no items with vegan or plant-based in the name. That does not always mean there is nothing vegan. Some chains mark vegan dishes with a symbol, or list them in a separate vegan menu or allergen guide.
Tips for ordering vegan
- Ask for the allergen guide. It is the only reliable way to check ingredients like egg, milk or honey.
- Look for separate vegan menus. Several chains, including Dishoom and Wahaca, mention vegan menus on their official sites.
- Check the cooking. Some kitchens fry vegan and meat items in the same oil.

How we worked this out: every figure comes from the official menus we checked on 23 October 2026. We used one named branch or official menu per chain, and each menu page says which. Most UK chains set prices branch by branch. So your local prices may differ. We counted item names containing vegan, plant-based or Beyond. Items marked vegan only with a symbol are not counted.
